What this helps you do¶

Chat is where you talk directly to the Hi, Moose operator — the same one main agent described throughout these docs, not a separate tool. It's available from the Home screen and from the dedicated chat surface, and every conversation can pull in your project's Context, attached files, and saved specialists to ground its answers.

Starting a conversation¶

• Click New chat to start fresh, or continue an existing thread.
• The composer shows quick-start prompts for common jobs.
• Pick something specific off the Tools menu in the top bar.
• Or type your own request in plain language. Hi, Moose decides whether to answer directly, ask a follow-up question, or run a capability like Content Briefs or AEO Audits and hand back a durable artifact.

How Hi, Moose decides what to do¶

There's no keyword list. Moose reads what you're asking for and routes accordingly, which means you can phrase things however you like and get the same result.

Two behaviors are worth knowing:

• Explicit requests run the thing. Ask for an audit and you get the audit intake.
• Implied requests only offer it. If your question merely suggests a capability, Moose answers the question and puts the capability on a one-tap suggestion chip underneath. It won't hijack the conversation.

Attaching context¶

The attachment menu offers four things:

• Upload file or image — .txt, .md, .csv, .doc, .docx, .pdf, .xls, .xlsx, .jpg, and .png. Spreadsheets are parsed into readable text rather than treated as opaque files.
• Capture screenshot — pick a display or window, then snip the area you want. On macOS this needs Screen Recording permission, and Hi, Moose walks you through granting it.
• Add from Library — attach saved Library items as context.
• Site vector database — hand Moose your indexed site so it can answer from your actual pages. See Site Monitoring.

What makes a response grounded¶

While Hi, Moose is working, it shows what it's actually doing: pulling live search results, collecting People Also Ask questions, crawling a competitor domain, reading a page, indexing results, checking Search Console data, or applying your saved brand voice. This is a visible trace of the real evidence behind the answer, not a decorative spinner.
