Key Points Extractor¶

What this helps you do¶

Extract the most important ideas from long-form content into a short, scannable set of key points (a TL;DR) that you can place at the top of the piece — giving busy readers instant value and giving answer engines an easy summary to extract.

Key points generation uses semantic compression rather than a plain summarizer: Hi, Moose identifies what's actually important in the content, not just what's repeated most often, and produces a concise set of points that capture the core meaning.

Providing a source¶

From Chat, choose the Generate optimized Key Points quick start (or ask for it directly), then give Hi, Moose something to work from:

• A source URL, or
• An attached file, or
• Pasted content

What you get¶

A titled set of compressed points under the source you provided, ready to reuse anywhere.

Working with the result¶

• Save — add the key points to your Library.
• Edit — opens an editor with the source and the key points as editable markdown, with Save or Save and add to page to both save and stage the change in one step.
• Add Key Points to the page — if your project has a connected CMS and the source URL matches a page there, stage the key points directly onto that page as an edit for review — see Drafts, Preview & Publishing.

When to skip external research¶

Key points generation works directly from your existing content and doesn't need the search landscape evidence bundle by default. Only bring in outside research if you specifically want competitive or search-grounded framing — for straightforward compression of your own content, it's unnecessary overhead.
