Projects & Workspace

What this helps you do

A project is a workspace in the Hi, Moose desktop app scoped to one website, brand, or client. Each project holds its own Context (Brand Voice and Brand Truth Profile), competitors, connections (WordPress, Webflow, Google Search Console), visibility tracking, briefs, drafts, and publish history.

Projects keep separate brands or clients from bleeding into each other — visibility monitoring, generated content, and connections for one project never show up in another.

When to use multiple projects

  • Agency work — one project per client or website
  • Multiple brands — a separate project per brand you manage
  • Testing — a throwaway project to try a workflow before running it on a production site

Your account mode determines how many active projects you can have at once (for example, BYOK Free includes 1 project, BYOK Premium includes up to 3). Paid Managed plans support higher limits.

Setting up a project

  1. Open the project switcher from the desktop app's sidebar.
  2. Create a new project and give it a name.
  3. Enter the project's primary domain — this is used to hydrate initial brand context automatically and to scope visibility tracking, AEO audits, and content actions to the right site.
  4. Connect the project to a CMS (see WordPress or Webflow) if you plan to publish directly from Hi, Moose.

Switching projects

Switching your active project changes the context for every feature in the app — visibility data, Brand Voice, Brand Truth Profile, briefs, drafts, and connections all follow the active project. Your About You notes are the one exception — they stay with you across every project. Use the project switcher any time you need to move between clients or brands.

Team projects

If you're on a plan with multiple user seats, projects can be shared with teammates. See Team Management for inviting collaborators to a shared workspace.
