# AEO tools, AI visibility and your site's data, inside Claude or ChatGPT.

Ask for a content brief, an AEO audit, or where your brand stands in AI search. Hi, Moose runs the work with your site's data, and the result lands in the chat and in your Library.

Included in every plan, including free. Sign in with your Hi, Moose account.

## Three easy steps:

### Claude

1. **Add Hi, Moose as a connector.** In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors. Choose Add custom connector, name it Hi, Moose, and paste the server address. Leave the client ID and secret fields empty.
2. **Sign in with your Hi, Moose account.** Select Connect. A Hi, Moose sign-in page opens in your browser. Use the same account you use in the desktop app and approve access. Your password never goes into the chat.
3. **Pick a host device, then ask.** In the Hi, Moose desktop app, open Settings, Connected agents, and choose the device that runs the work. Back in Claude, switch Hi, Moose on in a chat and ask it to list your projects.

Works in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps on every Claude plan. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds the connector once under Organization settings and each member signs in with their own Hi, Moose account.

### ChatGPT

1. **Turn on Developer Mode.** In ChatGPT on the web, click your name in the left sidebar, open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and switch on Developer Mode.
2. **Add Hi, Moose as a custom MCP server.** Back in Apps, click the plus button. Name it Hi, Moose, paste the server address under Connection, set Authentication to OAuth, tick the acknowledgement box and click Create. ChatGPT scans the tools, then opens the Hi, Moose sign-in page. Use the same account you use in the desktop app.
3. **Pick a host device, then ask.** In the Hi, Moose desktop app, open Settings, Connected agents, and choose the device that runs the work. Back in ChatGPT, start a new chat, type @ and pick Hi, Moose, then ask it to list your projects.

Needs a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu) on the web. On Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin has to allow custom connectors first.

## The work happens in the chat you already have open.

One message can chain several Hi, Moose tools. Here the assistant checks what the site already covers, then writes a brief for the part it doesn't. The brief uses the project's crawl and Brand Truth, and it is saved to the Library as well as shown in the chat.

Briefs, drafts, FAQs and images take one to three minutes. An AEO audit takes two to four. A visibility question answers in seconds.

> **You:** Check whether our site covers "SOC 2 for startups", then write a brief for whatever is missing.
>
> *Hi, Moose: check_site_coverage*
>
> **Assistant:** Partly covered. Two pages mention SOC 2 (crawled 2026-10-09):
> - /blog/soc-2-checklist/ covers the audit checklist.
> - /security/ describes your own SOC 2 report.
> Neither page is written for startups deciding when to start SOC 2. I'll write a brief for that.
>
> *Hi, Moose: create_content_brief*
>
> *Hi, Moose: get_result*
>
> **Assistant:** The brief is ready. *SOC 2 for startups: when to start and what the process involves*
> - When a startup needs a SOC 2 report
> - Type 1 and Type 2 reports
> - Preparing for the first audit
> - Link to /blog/soc-2-checklist/ and /security/
> - Five more sections in the Library
> Saved to your Hi, Moose Library
>
> **You:** Are we named for that topic in AI search right now?
>
> *Hi, Moose: visibility_check_topic*
>
> **Assistant:** For "SOC 2 for startups" across 60 tracked answers in the last 30 days:
> - ChatGPT names you in 41% of answers, cites you in 12%.
> - Gemini names you in 4%, no citations.
> - Perplexity names you in 27%, cites /security/ twice.
> - Tallyroom is named in 68% and cited most often.
> The new brief targets the question Gemini and Perplexity are answering without you. Want me to draft it?

### Prompts to copy

- "Using Hi, Moose, show how our brand appears across the AI engines we track for our top topics, engine by engine, over the last 30 days."
- "Check whether our site covers "expense policy for remote teams", then write a Hi, Moose brief for whatever is missing."
- "Run a Hi, Moose AEO audit on our pricing page and list the fixes in priority order."
- "Which competitors gained AI search mentions for our tracked topics this month, and which pages are being cited instead of ours?"
- "Write FAQs with schema for our SOC 2 page using Hi, Moose, based on what the crawl says we already cover."

## What a connected assistant can do with your projects.

The same work you would start in the app, asked for in plain language. Every job runs in the Hi, Moose app on the host device you choose and uses that project's crawl, Brand Truth and research. One connection reaches every project on your account, so an agency can work across brands from one chat.

A connected assistant cannot publish to your site, delete anything, or change settings or team members. You can revoke its access any time in Settings, Connected agents.

## Questions

**Q: What is MCP?**
A: MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI apps use to connect to outside tools. An app that supports it can call a server's tools during a chat and show the results. Hi, Moose MCP is the server that gives Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-supported tools access to Hi, Moose.

**Q: Do I need a paid Hi, Moose plan?**
A: No. Hi, Moose MCP is in every plan, including free. The work it runs follows your plan's normal model usage. ChatGPT itself needs a paid ChatGPT plan to add connectors; Claude does not.

**Q: Does Hi, Moose need to be running?**
A: Yes. The work runs in the Hi, Moose app on the host device you pick in Settings. That can be your own computer, a machine in your office, or a server in the cloud, depending on your setup. It needs to be on, with Hi, Moose open and signed in.

**Q: Where do the results go?**
A: Back to the chat that asked, and into the project's Library in Hi, Moose, alongside the rest of that project's work. A finished job can be picked up later with Get result.

**Q: Is it safe to connect my account?**
A: Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with your existing Hi, Moose account, so the app never sees your password and there are no keys to store. Settings lists every connected app with a Revoke button, and access expires after 30 days unused.

**Q: Can I work on several brands from one chat?**
A: Yes. A connected assistant can list every project on your account and run work on any of them. Each job uses that project's own crawl, Brand Truth and research.

**Q: Does it work in other apps?**
A: Any app that can add a remote MCP server and sign in with OAuth works with the same address, including Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. The docs cover those.
