Forward-deployed AEO

A team that builds your AEO operation, with the automation to run it.

We crawl your site, turn every page into something your AI assistants and agents can search, and connect it to the AI search monitoring, your Slack and your CMS. Then our practitioners and engineers work inside your team until asking your own website a question, or drafting a page from what it already says, is just how your team works. The setup stays with you.

Not a traditional SEO agency

What forward-deployed means at Hi, Moose.

The term comes from software companies that send engineers to sit with a customer instead of shipping a product and wishing them luck. We borrowed it because that is how this works. A few people from our team join yours for a while, set up the machine, and run it with you until it is yours.

It starts with a few weeks of setup.

We learn how your team gets a page from idea to live, who signs off, and where the content lives. Then we wire the monitoring, the alerts and the brief-writing into those exact steps. Nothing new to log into.

Monitoring is part of the package.

Every engagement comes with a base of AI search visibility monitoring, enough for most startup and mid-market teams. More prompts, markets or engines are an easy add-on when you need them.

When we step back, it keeps running.

The agents, the workflows and the history we built up all stay with your team. You can keep us on, or run it yourselves. Either way, the machine does not leave with us.

Your site, in your AI assistant

The first thing we do is make your website something you can talk to.

Hi, Moose crawls your site, turns every page into searchable vectors, and serves the whole thing over MCP. Connect it to Claude once and the people on your team can ask what you already say about a topic, which pages overlap, what a new page should link to, and get the pages back as the answer.

What do we already cover?Which pages overlap?Draft a brief from our pagesWhat should this link to?
ExampleSam, content lead at Northgate, in Claude
What do we already say about secrets scanning in CI, and is any of it duplicated?
Searched northgate.com via Hi, Moose · 212 pages
You cover it in three places. The secrets scanning guide explains what gets caught and why it matters. The CI docs page has the setup steps for GitHub Actions and GitLab. A 2023 blog post repeats about half of the guide's intro.
/guides/secrets-scanning-ciConcept, no steps

Want me to draft a setup section for the guide using the CI docs, and a redirect note for the blog post?

A week inside an engagement

Most of the work happens in the threads your team already reads.

This is what it looks like once the machine is in place: the engine notices something, your team asks the site what it already says, decides, approves, and the result is tracked. We are in the thread when it helps, not in the way.

Asked Claude what we already have on this. It pulled our secrets scanning guide and the CI docs: the guide explains the concept, the actual setup steps sit on a docs page the guide never links to. The GitLab steps are out of date too. I'm adding a short setup section to the guide and linking the two. Draft by this afternoon.

Matches what the citation history shows: every page that replaced us has the steps inline. Good call. I've set the 8-week comparison to post here on Tuesdays so you don't have to ask for it.

Not every week is about a single page.

Much of what we build is for your team to pick up and use without us: a report that writes itself from Hi, Moose and Search Console, a Claude Skill on our MCP that answers visibility and site questions, a list of fixes ready for your web lead.

  • A weekly report built from Hi, Moose and Search Console, posted where the team already looks
  • The same data, and the whole site, available in Claude through the Hi, Moose connector, for the people with access
  • Site changes prepared as a list for your web lead, not pushed live

Asked the Hi, Moose skill in Claude to break payroll compliance out on its own since it's the Q1 launch topic. While it was in there it found 11 compliance pages with no link from the compliance hub. List attached. Ben Walsh, worth a look?

Nice. I've added payroll compliance as its own section of the Monday report from next week, so nobody has to ask for it.

How an engagement runs

A setup period, then a working rhythm that repeats.

The first weeks go to learning how your team works and connecting the engine. After that, the work runs as a cycle.

At the start
Understand
How your marketing organization works, what it is trying to achieve, and which tools, data and processes already exist.
Connect
Configure Hi, Moose for your brand, competitors and topics. Set up integrations, access controls and data sources.
Every cycle, ongoingPace and scope agreed with you
Find the work
Use observations, site data, research and experience to pick the opportunities worth pursuing next.
Build and execute
Produce and implement improvements with your team, and automate the parts that repeat.
Measure and improve
Track results, review progress with you, refine the system, and adjust priorities.

The engine underneath

Every engagement runs on Hi, Moose.

Hi, Moose is AI discoverability infrastructure we build and maintain. It collects answers from AI search engines on a schedule, keeps the history, and records which sources get cited and which competitors appear. Our team works from that record, so recommendations come with evidence.

It also crawls your website, indexes every page as searchable vectors, and exposes the whole site over MCP. Your team can open Claude and ask what you already say about a topic, which pages overlap, or what is missing before a brief gets written. Agents work from your real content instead of a copy and paste.

For managed engagements it runs on a dedicated server we look after for you, hosted in the region you need. EU, North America, or another region if your data residency rules call for it. Your people and agents reach it directly.

What we work on

Finding the work, doing it, and checking it worked.

These are the areas an engagement can cover. Which ones we focus on depends on your business, your team's capacity and where the opportunities are. We agree priorities with you and revisit them as results come in.

AreaWhat our team doesWhat the engine contributes
Find Search and AI visibility intelligence Read how your brand appears across AI search, which competitors are gaining ground, which sources get cited, and what has changed. EngineScheduled observations across supported engines, with history and competitor comparisons.
Find Third-party visibility and citations Research the publications, communities and external sources that shape how AI search describes you, and where you are missing. EngineCitation data showing which outside sources answers rely on.
Build SEO and content strategy Find gaps in topical coverage, plan content structure, prioritize pages, improve internal linking and strengthen existing content. EngineContent research and coverage data, tied to the prompts you track.
Build Technical and on-site improvements Investigate SEO issues, improve page structure, make appropriate technical changes, and help your team get them published. EngineBefore and after observations for the pages and prompts affected.
Build Automation and engineering Connect your systems, remove repetitive work, build workflows, and make Hi, Moose data available inside your AI tools. EngineMCP and REST API access for agents, apps and workflows.
Build Working with your own site content Set up your website as something your team can ask questions of: what you already cover, where pages overlap, what a new brief should reference. EngineYour site crawled, vectorized and served over MCP to Claude, ChatGPT and agents.
Measure Measurement and reporting Set up repeatable ways to track visibility, evaluate changes, review the work and see what needs attention. EngineA consistent record collected the same way each time, with method changes labeled.
Who does what

We add capacity and technology. Your team stays in charge of the business.

We work alongside your employees, agencies and systems. The aim is to get more of the right work done, not to replace the people who already do it.

Hi, Moose brings
SEO and AEO practitioners who plan and do the work
Engineers who connect systems and build workflows
The Hi, Moose engine, configured and maintained for your engagement
Research, drafts and technical changes, prepared for review
Regular reviews of what changed and what to do next
Your team brings
Business goals and priorities
Product and subject expertise
Brand, messaging and editorial decisions
Approvals for content and site changes
Coordination with internal teams and other partners
Changes follow your approval process

We agree at the start who approves what. Drafts and site changes are staged for review, and publishing happens only after the agreed sign-off. Agents and workflows we build get the access they need for their job, nothing broader, and your team can see and revoke it.

Why we work this way

Work that keeps coming up becomes part of the engine.

Working closely with marketing teams shows us which problems repeat from company to company. When a task keeps coming up, we turn the general method into a tool, an integration or a maintained capability in Hi, Moose. Every customer gets the improved engine.

Our goal is to make more of the work repeatable, not to bill more hours. Your data, permissions and internal processes stay within your engagement.

A problem keeps coming up
We see the same kind of task across several engagements.
We build the general method
The reusable part becomes a tool, an integration or a maintained capability.
Every customer gets it
It ships in the engine. Customer data and processes are never shared between organizations.
Who it's for

It works best for teams with real work to ship.

Our customers are usually led by a VP of Marketing, Head of Growth or Director of SEO who already has a team, a site and a content program, and needs more capacity and better tooling around search and AI visibility.

A good fit if you
Have an active marketing or growth team
Treat SEO and AI discoverability as strategically important
Have meaningful work to implement, not only questions to answer
Want outside expertise working closely with your existing team
Are willing to connect and actively use Hi, Moose as part of the work
Probably not the right fit if you want
A one-off audit
Low-cost SEO content packages
Consulting that is separate from our technology

If you'd rather run Hi, Moose yourself, the desktop app and MCP connection are available without an engagement.

Common questions.

Is AI search visibility monitoring included?

Yes. Every engagement includes a base level of monitoring across the answer engines, sized to what most startup and mid-market teams need. If you need more prompts, markets or engines tracked, it is a simple add-on.

Do your people work on site or become employees?

No. Our team works remotely with yours, in your collaboration tools, on a scope agreed at the start of the engagement.

Where is our instance hosted?

Wherever you need it. Each managed engagement gets its own dedicated instance of the engine, and we place it in the region that fits your data residency requirements: the EU, North America, or another region. Tell us the constraint and we will confirm the setup before the engagement starts.

Do we need to install the desktop app?

Not necessarily. The engine can run on a dedicated server we manage, and your team can reach it through Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients, the REST API, or workflows we build. Our practitioners use the desktop app as part of the work.

Can you work alongside our existing agency or SEO software?

Yes. We work with the tools, data sources and partners you already have. Hi, Moose itself is required, because the engagement runs on it.

Which CMS platforms do you work with?

Webflow, WordPress, Grav, and other supported systems. Tell us what you use and we'll confirm what we can connect to during the first conversation. Often we can accommodate other systems with custom adapters.

Can an agent change our site on its own?

Only if your team turns that on. By default, drafts wait for the sign-off we agreed at the start, and your people do the publishing.

How is it priced?

There are two parts. The forward-deployed engagement (our people, scoped to the work, the integrations and the environment involved) and the engine itself (your dedicated instance, the monitoring, the site index and the MCP). You can pause or end the engagement whenever you like and keep the engine running on its own; it carries a smaller monthly cost. We'll put both numbers in front of you once we understand what you need.

Talk to our team

Tell us what your team is working on.

This starts a conversation about an embedded engagement, not a software trial. A few lines about your team and what's stuck is enough.

What happens next
1We read what you sent and reply by email.
2A conversation about your team, your tools and the work you want done.
3If it looks like a fit, we propose a scope, the integrations involved, and where the engine will run.
