The week visibility learned to draw

Visibility in Hi, Moose grew a full set of charts: mention rate by topic against each tracked competitor, a per-platform grid across ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, and Google's AI Overviews, and day-by-day topic trends. Every chart exports as an image and feeds a rebuilt PDF report. The local model now works offline indefinitely, and the user docs are published in six languages.

Colored marbles resting at different points along faint horizontal lines of light on a warm dark background, like a calm race chart, with one softly glowing blue marble out ahead.

TL;DR

  • Visibility in Hi, Moose grew a full set of charts this week: mention rate by topic against each competitor you track, a per-platform grid across five AI engines, and day-by-day topic trends.
  • Every chart has a save-as-image button, and the PDF report was rebuilt around the new views, so the numbers travel straight into decks and client updates.
  • Position tracking got sharper: it now records where you appear relative to your tracked competitors inside each AI answer.
  • The local model now keeps working no matter how long you stay offline, so a long flight or a weekend off-grid interrupts nothing.
  • Also new: site monitoring can skip paths you tell it to, the app window opens about 15 percent larger on screens with room, and the user docs are published in six languages.

The race, drawn

Ask an AI assistant to recommend something in your category and it names names. Some of those names are your competitors. Visibility in Hi, Moose has been tracking how often those answers mention you; this week it learned to draw the whole race.

The new Competition view starts with mention rate by topic. Each row is a topic you care about, each dot is a brand, and yours is marked. One glance tells you which conversations you lead and which ones a competitor owns.

Hi, Moose visibility chart showing mention rate by topic, with your brand and five competitors plotted from 0 to 100 percent for each topic.

The screenshots are from our demo project, a paper company that is not real no matter how real it feels.

Every platform has favorites

Different engines answer the same question differently, so there is now a grid: mention rate per brand across ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, and Google's AI Overviews. It makes a pattern visible that a single score hides. A brand can be everywhere on one platform and invisible on another, and now you can see exactly where.

Next to it, a day-by-day trend for each topic. Publish something aimed at a topic, then watch whether the needle moves.

Two Hi, Moose visibility charts: a grid of mention rates per brand across ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, and AI Overviews, next to a day-by-day mention rate trend for one topic.

Every chart in the new views has a save-as-image button, so a graph goes into a slide deck without a screenshot crop. The PDF report was rebuilt around the same charts. And position tracking got sharper along the way: it now records where you appear relative to your tracked competitors inside each answer, which is the ranking that means something when a prospect reads it.

Offline, with no fine print

Hi, Moose can run its AI entirely on your machine. As of this week that promise holds for as long as you care to test it: the local model keeps answering no matter how long you stay offline. Long flight, cabin weekend, hotel wifi that only exists in the brochure. Once the model is downloaded, nothing about your chats needs a connection.

Smaller things from the week

The app window now opens about 15 percent larger, on screens with the room to spare. Site monitoring can now skip parts of a site you tell it to ignore, handy when a tag archive keeps wandering into crawls. And the user docs at himoose.com/docs are now published in six languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.

FAQ

What do the new visibility charts show?

They show how often AI answers mention your brand compared with the competitors you track: a by-topic view with every brand plotted per topic, a per-platform grid across five engines, and a day-by-day trend for each topic.

Which AI platforms does visibility track?

ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, and Google's AI Overviews. The grid shows each brand's mention rate on each platform separately, because platforms play favorites.

Can I export the charts?

Yes. Every chart has a save-as-image button, and the trend, topic, platform, and competition views feed the rebuilt PDF report.

Does the local model work offline?

Yes. It downloads once, then runs entirely on your machine for as long as you stay offline. Cloud models and visibility checks still need a connection, since they talk to live services.
